The Christmas season is hotly anticipated around here. There are traditions we look forward to as the year inches closer to Thanksgiving, but this year is strange and unfamiliar. We’re in a new home with new friends, a new church, and new activities to fold into our routine of old traditions. Some are falling by the wayside, making this season one of both novelty and sorrow. We’ll be missing our annual Christmas tour in Madang and our Christmas Eves at the Hewitts’ house. On the other hand, we’re excited to join our church for a festival today and decorate a new home. Essentially, we’ve got a cornucopia of feelings going on, but are grateful we serve an immutable God. Even as we ebb and flow through our lives, he never changes. We wish you a very happy Advent season preparing hearts and homes for the celebration of Christmastide!

Have blessed Christmas time in your new abode with family and new fellowship. We too are celebrating advent just the two of us. It is a wonderful way to think of the Saviors coming to earth and what He did for all of us, including those who still need to know.
