The girls want so badly to be gardeners. They see all the lush, verdant jungle around us and something inside them is reaching out to cultivate and grow. Unfortunately, that’s a huge hurdle for me as a mom. After all the other things we do throughout the day… and because it’s 90 degrees all the time (not really, but it feels like it)… I just don’t want to do it. So!! In stepped Brian. We’re starting small with tiny planters on the back porch. Two with herbs, one with Jenny and Elizabeth, our flowers!! The girls love watering and checking on them. They’re already learning the art of waiting that God provides so tangibly through his creation. Plant, water…. wait.
