There and back again
We so appreciate your many prayers for Brian’s trip last week!! It was weighing on him heavily before he went and we both rejoiced when in the end it was clear the Lord had gone before. The meeting with the community went well and he enjoyed breathing the cleaner air of village life for a few nights. There may be other issues that crop up from this particular situation, but overall it was a good reminder that we aren’t grinding through alone. God is in control and no matter what happens, His good plan will come to fruition.
The trip started off with a sadly squashed pre-hike power snack he had carefully prepared (and then thoughtlessly sat on?!?! I’m not really sure what happened here…) and ended with some very bruised and blistered heels (it’s gross… I chose not to add a picture of those). Despite the aches and pains his closer-to-40-than-30 body gave him, he was energized to get out into PNG again, blisters and all.

So grateful for a good trip. Who knows the one life that may be encouraged and strengthened by this trip.
I know all you girls miss him tremendously while he is gone. Praise to our God for His faithfulness on all fronts. Be strong and have courage takes on new meaning.

We are grateful, too! We do miss him, but we just make sure the home is extra welcoming when he gets back. Thanks for praying for him and for us while he was gone!! We sure do miss you guys.
