That virtual life
2020 has revolutionized the way we interact with one another, both personally and professionally. Some of these changes have even found their way into our lives through midnight Zoom meetings for Brian while he interacts with people in a myriad of time zones. Before 2020 this would be unthinkable. Now? Monthly.
This fallout of the pandemic has not dramatically changed our personal lives. The girls were very used to spending the vast majority of their quality time with grandparents over the phone before all this. Nevertheless, they are feeling the losses and the invisible wall between us and loved ones. Just two days ago Willa, in the middle of being chirpy and coloring a goofy dragon, said, “2020 is so full of sadness for me.”
We are grateful staying here has provided constancy and security, but we aren’t without the 2020 scars. I do love seeing them cuddle up for a good chat with Yaya and Popling or Grammy and Poppa, and we sure do appreciate all your faithful prayers!!

We continue to pray for all of you over there nearly every day. May God provide for every new day a new joy. It has been a very trying year and for those of you in country even harder. God please bring refreshment to our coworkers. Thank you for these messages of hope even in the midst of trials. Keep the ability to communicate with loved ones open and may they continue to bring smiles and bonding. Thank you so much for Hannah and Brian and their girls.
