We made our way to Ukarumpa bumping along the jungle road with cockatoos flying over the truck, down into the valley and through the river where the bridge has been out for… two?… years, and up into the cool mountains of the highlands, all while listening to Treasure Island and imagining PNG as that very place.

This time we needed to see the dentist, but we enjoyed such beautiful weather while we were there. Just gorgeous. We listened to stories, read books, played with friends, swung on ziplines, took walks, and ate soft serve ice cream. Fairly perfect week, actually.
