In which the Easter picture flops like bunny ears

I tried!! I honest and truly tried to get that obligatory Easter picture… but… well… I gave up in the end and we all got a good laugh out of it. More than the giggles over a silly 2-year-old not taking pictures seriously, the girls had an Easter egg hunt with their long-lost friend back from America! A fellow Pioneer Bible family returned late last week from an extended furlough (thanks, COVID) and it is such a delight after a long year of saying goodbye to people and watching our group grow ever smaller to see people return. The hellos are a balm to our hearts.

God showed His limitless love for us when He sent His son to die for our sins 2,000 years ago. He shows His limitless love for us each day by covering us with grace and small mercies. He is the God who gives cool, rainy days. Bright sun to dry our laundry and grow gardens. Magical stories to read that reflect the most important Story. Technology connecting us to family a world away. Surprise shipments of New Zealand ice cream at the store (any day, Lord… I’ll take this one any day now). Friends we haven’t seen in a year and a half, bringing life and energy in their wake. The death and resurrection of Jesus, reconciling us to Himself. He is a good Father.
