Last weekend as we joyfully plodded our way through a loose two-week lock down (joyful because the purpose is to avoid a COVID positive test in Port Moresby while we make our way back stateside next week!!!! Yay!!! America!!!!), the girls chose an activity that utterly warmed my heart. They grabbed a book both of them read (and loved), asked for some of the leftover brownies, and settled in the schoolroom for a Sister Book Club. Yesssss!!! You can have ALL the brownies for that! It was fun to listen in from the doorway (I found many excuses to “pass by”) as they discussed what they liked, who they liked, and how much they liked it. Undoubtedly their critical eye will grow as they do, but for now I’m happy with their passion to share the joy of a good book with one another.
