Spiritual Retreat is upon us

When I came back from England, I came back renewed and with some new ideas about what I should or could be doing with my time. Most of that energy is being poured into the girls and how we do home education. However, while I talked on an on to Brian about the things going on internally for me as a result of that conference, he asked if I would be willing to lead our Branch Spiritual Retreat. Several attempts at getting someone from the outside to guide us through had fallen through, so he was looking at organizing it himself. My swift response was a resounding no, but then my brain started thinking about various options and the things we could do together. So! I said yes, and now it’s upon us. Dallas sent two ladies from the Third Culture Kids Department to put on a program for the kids while the adults meet. Our girls have been interacting with Mrs. Jenn and Mrs. Heather on Zoom for about two years, but have never met them in person. Needless to say, they were beside themselves at the airport greeting them!!

Please pray over our weekend together, that God would guide our discussions, studies, and musings together. I’m hopeful that the group can walk away feeling refreshed on a deeper level than just physical, but I do want there to be physical rest as well. We will be studying Psalm 90 and 91 in depth and dwelling on God’s sovereignty and benevolence as the group faces a year of upheaval and unknowns.
